Calling all regional bands—this is the opportunity of a lifetime! Thirty bands will be chosen to compete in the seventh annual Road to Nightfall. Prizes include cash, professional recording time, a promo video, social media services and more. One guitarist will also win a custom Diamondback Stringworks guitar. The winner of each preliminary competition will receive $500.
The ultimate prize is a 90-minute headlining spot during Nightfall at Miller Plaza, presented by Chattanooga Presents. Finals Night runner ups earn a chance to open Nightfall 2018. In addition, there will be $1000 Finals Night prize and $500 to 2nd place.
The preliminary concerts will be held at The Granfalloon at 400 East Main Street on March 9, 10, 15, 16, 17. Six bands will compete each night, with the winners from each night moving on to the finals. Of the 5 winners, the Final Night will be on March 24 at The Signal on the big stage. Tickets to all shows including Finals Night for all participating band members will be provided.
The winner will receive 25 hours of professional recording time from the Soundry Studio as well as a free promo video valuing a cost of $1500 from Beckett Films- 1 filming session (session can include the filming of a live show with additional filming the day of show or a single filming session up to 3 hours with Videographer) Finished Video Promo can be used in digital promo packaging as well as on social media to promote the artist/band. Eligibility
To be eligible for the competition, bands must have at least three members, the majority of them living within 45 miles of Chattanooga. Music must be original. Bands will be given the opportunity to perform three original songs-no covers! Backline drums, bass rig, PA, and professional sound engineers provided. A 90-minute set will be required of the winner at their Nightfall performance.
Each band will need a Press Kit including: band photos, videos, recorded music, and contact info for all band members. Additionally, each bands must promote the event through its own social media. This can be done in any manner, but we ask that any posts about Road to Nightfall include the hashtag #RTN2018
